Benedictine Alumni & Families
Flying in for a Cadets game? Ride with a fellow Benedictine man.
I’m Gary “Chris” Lamb — a Benedictine Military School alumnus, and Live Oak Airport Taxi is my company. When you fly into Savannah for a game, an alumni weekend, or graduation, your ride is handled by one of your own.
One of your own behind the wheel
Benedictine men look out for each other — that didn’t stop at graduation. I drive alumni and Cadet families all over this coast: airport pickups at SAV with flight tracking, rides to Memorial Stadium on game night, and runs out to Tybee Island and Hilton Head when the weekend turns into a real visit.
Home games are coming up fast — Friday, October 23 against Wayne County and Thursday, October 29 against Groves — with the playoffs right behind them in November. If you’re flying in for any of it, book ahead and your ride is one less thing to think about.
The way I run it is simple: fixed fares, confirmed before you book. The price you see is the price you pay — the flat fare between SAV Airport and downtown Savannah is $30, and every other trip is priced upfront in the form below. Up to 4 passengers per vehicle, and I’ll be watching your flight so I’m there when you land, not the other way around.
Book your ride
Enter your pickup and destination to see your fixed fare and book online in minutes. Coming in for a game? Book the ride home too, and it’s locked in before kickoff.
Midweek in Savannah moves a little slower — and so does my calendar. Tuesday and Wednesday rides are wide open: airport runs, Tybee, Hilton Head, downtown. Book at liveoaktaxisav.com — the price you see is the price you pay.

Meet Your Driver
You're riding with the man who wrote the history of this coast
I'm Gary "Chris" Lamb — Savannah local, history graduate, and author of the Sea Islands Freedom novels, set right here during the Civil War. The ground I write about is the ground I drive on every day. Book your ride, and if you're curious about the stories under these streets, just ask.
Questions I hear from BC families
How does airport pickup work on game weekend?
Book online and I track your flight into Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV). When you land, I am there waiting — no hunting for a ride at the curb with half the alumni association. Drop-offs run the same way when the weekend is over.
What does a ride cost?
Fares are fixed and shown before you book — the price you see is the price you pay, no surge and no meter running. The flat fare between SAV Airport and downtown Savannah is $30. Longer rides, like Tybee Island or Hilton Head, are priced upfront in the booking form.
How many passengers can you take?
Up to 4 passengers per vehicle. Live Oak runs standard passenger vehicles, so your whole crew rides together in one car on most trips.
Can you take us to the game at Memorial Stadium?
Yes — rides to Memorial Stadium for Cadets home games, and pickups after the game, are some of my favorite runs of the fall. Book the trip home in advance so it is locked in before kickoff.
Live Oak Airport Taxi is an independent local business owned by a Benedictine alumnus. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Benedictine Military School.
