Coming to Savannah for the Beatification of the Georgia Martyrs?

Welcome to Savannah. I’m Gary “Chris” Lamb, owner of Live Oak Airport Taxi. If you’re traveling in for this historic weekend, I’ll get you from the airport to your hotel and to the Savannah Convention Center — fixed fare, flight tracked, booked in advance.

Your ride for beatification weekend

The Beatification of the Georgia Martyrs — Pedro de Corpa and his four Franciscan companions, martyred on this coast in 1597 — takes place Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Savannah Convention Center. About 12,000 pilgrims are expected in Savannah for the weekend.

I run airport pickups at SAV with flight tracking, and rides between the airport, downtown hotels, and the Savannah Convention Center on Hutchinson Island, just across the bridge from downtown. With 12,000 people converging on the island, parking will be tight — book a ride and get dropped at the door instead of fighting for a space.

Rides are also available for the Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 1 at 11:30 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist downtown.

The way I run it is simple: fixed fares, confirmed before you book. The price you see is the price you pay — the flat fare between SAV Airport and downtown Savannah is $30, and every other trip is priced upfront in the form below. Up to 4 passengers per vehicle, in standard passenger vehicles, and I’ll be watching your flight so I’m there when you land, not the other way around.

Midweek in Savannah moves a little slower — and so does my calendar. Tuesday and Wednesday rides are wide open: airport runs, Tybee, Hilton Head, downtown. Book at liveoaktaxisav.com — the price you see is the price you pay.

Questions from pilgrims traveling in

How does airport pickup work on beatification weekend?

Book online and I track your flight into Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV). When you land, I am there waiting — no hunting for a ride at the curb on one of the busiest weekends Savannah has seen. Drop-offs back to the airport work the same way when the weekend is over.

What does a ride cost?

Fares are fixed and shown before you book — the price you see is the price you pay, no surge and no meter running. The flat fare between SAV Airport and downtown Savannah is $30. Every other trip — the Convention Center, Tybee Island, Hilton Head — is priced upfront in the booking form.

How many passengers can you take?

Up to 4 passengers per vehicle. Live Oak runs standard passenger vehicles — no shuttle vans or buses — so a family or small group rides together in one car.

Can you take us to the Savannah Convention Center?

Yes — rides between the airport, downtown hotels, and the Savannah Convention Center on Hutchinson Island, just across the bridge from downtown. With about 12,000 people expected for the beatification, parking on the island will be tight; booking a ride means you get dropped at the door instead of fighting for a space.
